Maureen Enns (b.1949)
Maureen Enns of the Ghost River Valley, Alberta, Canada has travelled to the Russian Far East, Africa and India to raise the awareness of peaceful co-existence between wild animals and humans. She has spent her lifetime fighting for elephants, grizzly bears and now wild horses on a constant basis. Maureen Enns is more than just an artist. She is a naturalist and a conservationist.
She has co-authored three books which include the best sellers published by Random House, Grizzly Heart and Grizzly Seasons. Her art exhibition career spans over 30 years nationally and internationally. She most recently completed her new book “Wolves and Wild Horses – as studied in a micro wilderness east of the Canadian Rockies”. It was released by Rocky Mountain Books in June 2013. Her work is seen in public and private collections throughout the world.
The Nublet, Mount Assiniboine is a half day hike from Mount Assiniboine Lodge that Carolyn, Jeff and Carolyn’s parents did in 2009. The views of the mountains and the lakes from the Nublet are spectacular.
